  • Among the 24 industries analyzed, 17 have exhibited a noticeable increase in their intent to hire apprentices.

  • Businesses view degree apprenticeships as a valuable solution for bridging the skill gap through industry-academia collaboration.

  • 41% of employers think that apprenticeship-linked degree programs can successfully address over 30% of the skills gap in the Oct-Mar 2023-24 period.

  • The top three industries for apprentice hiring, as per NAO, are Engineering & Industrial, Electrical & Electronics, and Telecommunication.

  •  Employers are primarily engaging with apprentices for real-time skill acquisition, as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, and to fuel their business growth.

  • The top three cities for apprentice hiring are Bengaluru, Delhi, and Hyderabad, offering exciting opportunities for aspiring apprentices.

  • The top three job roles for apprentices include Production Engineer, Data Analyst, and Technical Service Engineer.

  • Around 45% of employers show no gender preference when hiring apprentices, promoting equal opportunities for all.
