Over the past four years, the apprenticeship landscape in India has witnessed a remarkable 35%-40% increase across various sectors. Today, more than 10 lakh apprentices are gaining practical skills through diverse programs nationwide, reflecting the growing recognition of apprenticeships as a key component of workforce development.

Telangana, in particular, has seen significant growth in apprenticeships this fiscal year. The data underscores a positive trajectory, with notable increases in both engagement and industry participation. This rise in the number of apprentices signals the effectiveness of these programs in nurturing valuable talent that meets industry demands.

To further create awareness and highlight the impact of innovative work-based skill development initiatives, we organized a Leadership Discussion in Hyderabad on August 23rd. The event, titled ‘Interpreting the ROI in Apprenticeships: Beyond Compliance: How to Leverage Apprenticeships for Strategic Business Growth,’ brought together industry leaders to discuss how businesses can harness the potential of apprenticeships beyond mere compliance.
